Origin
Awooga is a term or phrase for being highly attracted to a woman or group of women. It can also be used to refer to men, but this is not commonly found. It is most prevalent in older cartoons where men find an attractive woman and then howl up at the moon or sky and stomps their feet while doing so.
In the past, approximately the year 1943, Tex Avery coined the phrase awooga in a fictional cartoon world where a wolf that is over the top in love with little red riding hood and her performance up on stage. You can see during the carton that the wolf is panting, jumping up into the air, and banging his hands on the table to express an extreme attraction to the girl. At one point, steam comes out of his ears, and his eyes bulge from his head. This term continues primarily online, where videos and pictures of women are posted with the title or heading to say “Awooga!” to help describe the creators out of his mind attraction to them.
